Whether it’s a house, a shop, or an office, Vastu Shastra is consulted before constructing any new building. It is also believed that worshipping Vastu Purusha at a newly constructed place ensures happiness, peace, and prosperity. How did Vastu Purusha originate?

According to the Matsya Purana, a fierce battle was raging between Lord Shiva and Andhakasura. This battle was so intense that the directions trembled and mountains crumbled. Now, everyone was trying to subdue this fearsome creature and sat on each of its limbs. It cried out loudly, “Why did you give me this boon if you were going to stop me?” Then Brahma chose it for a unique task. He said, “From now on, you will be known as Vastu Purusha, and your dwelling place will be this earth. Before any new construction, you will be worshipped, and if you find any Vastu defects, you can consume them as your food.” This is how Vastu Purusha was born, transforming from a force of destruction into
