When his parents tried persuading him,\nhe cursed that any woman seeing me will remain a widow for seven births and\nmales will experience hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To pacify him, all gods including Lord Shiva\nanointed him with vermilion and oil. He was made the commander of the gods\u2019\narmy. Lord Kartikeya said that those who anoint him with oil and vermilion,\ntheir ancestors will be revered in AdiBaikunth.
