It is believed that on this day,\nLord Krishna defeated IndraDev to protect His followers from heavy rain. To\ncelebrate this victory, this festival is observed by people. In some parts it\nis known as \u2018AnnaKoot Puja\u2019 also. Prasad prepared with wheat, rice and besan\nitems, leafy vegetables are offered to Lord Krishna on this day. <\/p>\n\n<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hMXP1V5M2dQ\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><p align=\"justify\"><strong>Puja\nVidhi :<\/strong> On the day of Govardhan Puja, pet animals are duly\nwashed with water and oil applied on their horns to prepare for the pujan. Decorated\nwith flower garlands and sandal wood paste applied on them to give a nice look\nfor worshipping. Special food is prepared to feed them and in some places, an\nimage of Govardhan Parvat is prepared from fresh cow dung and keeping an idol\nof Krishna, worshipping is performed.
